It has been so long since I mowed the lawn. Being waited on hand and foot as a fellow has its advantages and disadvantages. One of those disadvantages is the joy we miss out on when we fail to practice the soul-stilling art of lawn-mowing. All the worries of Washingtonian life fade as row after row soft summer blades fall down. I didn’t get to go barefoot this time, as I’m new to the yard… but once I learn it, we’ll see about that. Enjoy mowing your lawn. It’s glorious!
